These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Poodle Genetics Lab (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) regarding your use of the Site. By using the Site, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age (16 in the EU/EEA) and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

Poodle Genetics Lab is a brand operated by X-Designer Breeds LLC. For direct digital purchases made through this Site, X-Designer Breeds LLC is the seller of record.

Poodle Genetics Lab provides:

• Educational content about poodle coat color genetics;
• An interactive genotype calculator for predicting offspring coat color probabilities;
• A newsletter (the Genetics Lab Dispatch);
• A book (“Poodle Color Genetics, 2nd Edition”) available in digital and physical formats;
• User accounts for saving calculator sessions (optional);
• Links to Amazon for physical book purchases (affiliate relationship, see Section 9).

All genetics information is provided for educational purposes only. Nothing on this Site constitutes veterinary advice, professional breeding consultation, or a guarantee of specific breeding outcomes.

THE CONTENT ON THIS SITE IS FOR EDUCATIONAL AND INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.

Poodle color genetics involves complex biological systems, and actual phenotypic outcomes depend on many factors beyond the genotypic predictions provided by our calculator. Predictions are based on published scientific research and Mendelian probability models, but cannot guarantee specific outcomes in any individual breeding.

Nothing on this Site should be construed as veterinary advice. For health-related breeding decisions, including but not limited to merle genotyping, color dilution alopecia, and inherited conditions, consult a licensed veterinarian or board-certified veterinary geneticist.

You may create an account to save calculator sessions. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access at legal@poodlegenetics.com.

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms, are used for abusive or fraudulent purposes, or have been inactive for more than 24 consecutive months.

Digital editions: Direct digital editions are sold and delivered through a third-party checkout provider on our behalf. Payment, delivery of the PDF, and any refunds for these purchases are handled through that provider and are subject to its terms in addition to ours. Because the product is delivered digitally, refunds are granted at our discretion.

Physical editions:Physical copies are sold through Amazon. Returns and refunds for physical copies are governed by Amazon’s policies.

License: Purchase of the digital edition grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the content for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not redistribute, resell, or share the digital files.

All content on this Site, including text, graphics, logos, calculators, algorithms, and educational materials, is the proprietary property of Poodle Genetics Lab and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may share links to our content, quote limited excerpts with attribution, and use our educational materials for personal reference. You may not reproduce substantial portions of our content, create derivative works, or use our content commercially without written permission.

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Site without permission;
• Attempt to reverse-engineer the calculator algorithms;
• Use the Site to spread misinformation about genetics or animal breeding;
• Use the Site for any illegal purpose;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems;
• Transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful data;
• Harass, abuse, or harm other community members;
• Impersonate Poodle Genetics Lab or any of our staff.

By subscribing to our newsletter, you consent to receive periodic emails from Poodle Genetics Lab containing educational content, site updates, and occasional promotional material related to our products and services. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, POODLE GENETICS LAB AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO BREEDING OUTCOMES, FINANCIAL LOSSES, OR DATA LOSS, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SITE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with JAMS rules, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court to prevent intellectual property infringement.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by email (if you have an account) and by updating the “last updated” date above. Continued use of the Site after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
